Brijesh Arya wants to address the work cycle of homelessness in Mumbai by creating livelihood opportunities, which is one aspect of their many needs but is closely interlinked to poverty, identity and their other rights. Urban poverty is the primary cause for homelessness and the inability to afford adequate shelter.

Brijesh has worked with Salam Balak trust and Saathi on various issues for the homeless in Mumbai. Seeing the atrocities meted out to them and lack of livelihood opportunities stirred him to work with these people.
