I Initiate aims to create a community of young and restless wanting to develop innovative models for change. One of their ventures is ‘Cycle Chalao’ that is a social enterprise encouraging use of bicycles for short distances in Mumbai. They have recently launched a pilot in Mulund and aim to have a membership of 5000 people over the next three years. Raj, Jui and Jyotike have been actively engaged in development sector since his college. The idea of Cycle Chalao or bicycle rentals came from seeing the increasing costs of transportation and the corresponding increase of pollution in the city.
