Sagar Shinde aims to promote the usage of solar energy systems and renewable energy in cities to address the current and future energy need, as well reduce the dependence on conventional electricity consumption. The project is currently at a research stage. The programme is likely to benefit low income and middle class societies as solar panels are cost effective over a period of time.

Sagar has worked on various projects for PUKAR, a youth fellowship programme, for 3 years. He holds a post graduate diploma in environmental management from SIES-IIEM, Nerul . He is currently pursuing his further studies in Social Entrepreneurship from NMIMS. The current trend of renovation of the housing societies in the city and the existing electricity need of the low income and middle class societies of the city motivated Sagar to work on the energy requirements.
