When selecting investees, UnLtd India looks at four broad dimensions:
- The individual’s social entrepreneurial characteristics
- The potential of the project to deliver social impact
- The skills of the individual to deliver the project
- The degree to which a win-win relationship between the social entrepreneur and UnLtd India can be established
Level 1 profile – At a glance
In brief, a Level 1 investee is an individual with:
- A strong motivation to create change and a broad vision for a problem
- A basic evidence of need and demand for the idea and no or little (a) operational activities (b) proven theory of change and/or (c) social impact
- Demonstrable leadership skills, a basic implementation plan and sustained time commitment (mostly part-time)
- A willingness to share learnings with peer investees and to become an ambassador for UnLtd India
Level 2 profile – At a glance
- A Level 2 investee is an individual with:
- A strong motivation to create change and a focussed vision for a problem.
- Operational evidence of need and demand, theory of change and social impact.
- A track record of early success in the project, a clear plan of further delivery and majority/full time commitment.
- A willingness to share learnings with peer investees and to become an ambassador for UnLtd India
